Long before this became a business, it was something woven into who I was.

As a child, I found myself drawn to small, thoughtful acts—writing notes and tucking them into classmates’ desks, leaving messages for teachers, even giving one to our bus driver that I later learned he kept for years. In grade five, I wrote a note to a boy who had gotten in trouble. I remember feeling deeply that he had been misunderstood, and I wanted him to know someone saw him differently. It invited a little teasing, a few curious questions—but even then, I understood the quiet power of being seen through words.

That instinct—to reach for connection in a tangible, intentional way—never left.

Over the years, those notes became a constant thread: scribbled onto sticky notes for coworkers, written for friends and family, and shared with strangers in small, unexpected moments. Alongside it grew a deep appreciation for paper, texture, and the experience of something thoughtfully made—how it can hold meaning far beyond itself.

Today, Two Fourteen Co. exists as an extension of that story.
